Winter Wonderland: 3 Kid-Friendly Bay Area Events To Check Out This December
Embrace the winter nights in the Bay Area! As the temperature drops, the magic of the season comes alive in the form of winter wonderlands and festive gatherings. Get your little ones bundled up, swap your picnic blanket for a cozy blanket, and get ready for some fun!
1. Light Up The Season, Downtown Hayward
On Saturday, December 2nd at dusk, go to downtown Hayward for some fun, multicultural activities! At dusk, there will be a celebratory tree lighting. Bring a new unwrapped toy for a gift drive sponsored by the Hayward Fire Department and receive a raffle ticket to win a family fun basket!

2. Holiday Parade, Pleasanton
On Saturday, December 2nd at 5:00 pm, go to Pleasanton’s Hometown Holiday parade with floats, marching bands, and the local community groups! Don’t forget to watch the beautiful tree lighting, joined by music at about 6:45 pm!

3. Christmas in the Park, Plaza de Cesar Chavez, San Jose
Pleasanton’s Christmas in the Park runs everyday from 12 pm – 11 pm until January 1st! Enjoy displays, trees, and entertainment! Buy tickets for the epic drive-through light show that is programmed to music here.
