April 2020 Update, Super Clean & Getting Ready

Dear Pacific West Gymnastics Families,

Over the past month, we’ve been working hard to sanitize equipment, update our facilities, and develop plans for a safe reopening, whenever that may be. As our in-gym classes have been suspended due to the shelter in place, our coaches have been providing daily content in our Pacific West VIP Family Facebook Group, including pre-recorded workouts, arts and crafts, virtual resources, and more!

Moving into May we are excited to launch Pacific West Gymnastics TV, featuring live Zoom Classes across all our programs. Additional information on PWGTV will be sent out this Saturday, including the schedule of over 20 live classes per week!

Below is a brief overview of the steps we have taken so far and what we have planned moving forward.

Cleaning and Sanitizing

  • All equipment and matting have been cleaned and sanitized.
  • All carpets have been professionally steam cleaned.
  • Our bathrooms feature hands-free fittings for automatic flush, faucets, soap/sanitizer dispensers, and hand drying.
  • Hand sanitizer dispensers will be available throughout the facility, including at the front desk, in the lobby, the restrooms, and throughout the gym, for use before, during, and after classes.
  • In addition to being professionally cleaned daily, we will also be continuing an hourly cleaning schedule of all high touch equipment, surfaces, and common areas.

Once we Reopen

  • Enrolled families will have complimentary access to SpotTV, a secure camera system that allows remote viewing of your child’s classes. Additional information will be sent out as we get closer to reopening.
  • Class ratios will be reduced in all preschool-aged and entry-level classes to allow for social distancing and additional personal attention from your child’s coach.
  • Class start and end times will be staggered and spaced out to reduce the number of people in the facility at any one time and allow for equipment sanitization between classes.
  • New protocols will be put in place to reduce the flow of traffic in and out of the building, which may include designated drop off and pick up locations and enhanced class dismissal procedures.

As the shelter in place remains in effect, we will continue to develop new strategies for reopening under the guidance of local, state, and federal government officials, while keeping the health and safety of our students, families, and staff as a top priority.

We look forward to welcoming everyone back to class and will continue to provide additional information as it becomes available.

Thank you for your support during this time.
