Pacific West Gymnastics joins Food Drive to support 27th Annual Thanksgiving Feast

Pacific West Gymnastics, with locations in Union City and Fremont, California, is pleased to announce that it will be partnering with Newark based League of Volunteers (LOV) to collect dry goods and canned foods for the 27th Annual Community Thanksgiving Day Dinner.

The feast and festivities will take place on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, November 26 from 12:30-4:00 PM, at the Newark Pavilion and is open to anyone who would normally spend the day alone, or does not have the resources – money or shelter – to enjoy a traditional Thanksgiving Day meal.  Those who attend the festivities will enjoy an afternoon of good food, entertainment, and children’s crafts. In addition, a bag of grocery items will be given to each person that attends.  4,132 meals were served in 2014 and LOV hopes to increase that number in 2015.

LOV is in need of canned vegetables, chicken broth, stuffing mix, instant mashed potatoes, and more, for their Thanksgiving Day Dinner.  Other non-perishable and canned items will go to their food bank to help feed local families in need.  View the full list of needs HERE.

Donations are being accepted at both our Union City (32920 Alvarado Niles Road, Suite 210) and Fremont (42656 Albrae Street) locations through November 20.
